Do they know it’s Christmastime?
En 1984, ante la hambruna que asolaba Etiopía, Bob Geldof reunió a los más destacados músicos de entonces, como Sting, Paul Young, Boy George, George Michael, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, U2 y Ultavox, entre otros para crear la Band Aid y recaudar millones gracias a este Do they know it’s Christmastime? Un villancico maravilloso, solidario y comprometido, además de contar con mis grupos y cantantes favoritos de los 80, mi época dorada. 20 años después se volvió a grabar pero no alcanzó la mínima repercusión comparada con el original.

Muy bien por la iniciativa pero qué video más soso, como comprenderás después de leer toda la pesca que salía mis expectativas estaban altísimas!
De birria, nada. Después de lo que costaría reunir a toda la peña, como para exigirles que actuasen también. Al año siguiente los americanos copiaron la idea y lanzaron “We are the world”, que ya pondré otro día.
Yo prefiero la inglesa, por original y porque me gustan más los intérpretes. ¡Qué guapos y qué jóvenes estaban Simon le Bon, Tony Hadley, Paul Young, George Michael y Bono!
También yo estaba guapa y joven en aquella época.
Yo no recordaba este villancico,aunque si recuerdo "We are the world".
Y Conchi sigues estando guapa.
